WINTER QUAKER

I started this last year and just finished it. I find myself so eager to start new projects that I don't get many finishes in. One of my New Years resolutions is to finish some of these projects I have lying around here. We'll see how that goes, lol. I am a serial starter....

This is by San-man Originals called Winter Quaker. I really wish you could see the fabric in person. I think it fits this piece well. It has shades of mauve/purple. I'm thinking I used a tea to dye it. It was a fun stitch.

**EDITED**Cory's birthday, a SMO finish and my first dishrag

Cory's birthday was Friday. I took him a personal pan pizza and ate lunch with him and played on the playground then brought cupcakes later in the day. We had a good time together. We had his party Sunday. I thought this cupcake cake would be idea and it wasn't SOOO learn from my mistake. These were so messy. The icing was everywhere. There was literally enough icing for another cake.

Here is a small finish from SMO. I'd like to make it into something special. I think I'll look through my ribbon and make it into wrap for a candle jar.
Here's what I came up with for a candle wrap. I think it turned out pretty good for just an idea, lol. My fabric was too small to go around the jar so I pieced it together with some ribbon. Thinking now I want a new wrap for every holiday.

My daughter came home from school one day wanting to crochet. Like always she gave up so I thought I'd try again. I watched a few videos on youtube and made this dishrag. It could def. be better but I'm proud of my first try. Cory liked it so much he wanted 2 so he cut this one. Nice huh???

Me and some Old finishes

I've been too lazy to get the pictures off my camera, mainly because I thought I'd have a finish this week. Since I didn't I decided to go ahead and upload my pictures.

I always wonder what my friends look like. As most of my groupers know I am now a member of weight watchers. This first picture was taken the day after I started 9/3/2011. Now mind you I HATE having my picture taken and I had no makeup on and my hair wasn't fixed. Cory was playing with my camera and this was the result of it. I kept it as a reminder of where I started.

Here's a head shot I took 10/27. I dyed my hair a dark brown after I took this. I've lost 15 pounds to date and can't tell much but in my face. So here I am :)
Here's my little cowboy for Halloween. He has the mean cowboy look down pat, lol. This was taken at his school Halloween party. He was waiting in line for the school parade and said he was bored. I love my little cowboy :)
On the stitching front I've finished these a while ago. The first is the seasonal SAL from Novalee. Looking forward to the last one so I can hang it on the wall.
And this is the Oak Haven SAL. I have November all ready to stitch, just haven't had the time to do any stitching this week. Hopefully I'll get it done this week.
That's it, nothing too exciting. Hope I'll have a few finishes to share next week.

New Ornament, Biscornu and Snow Buddy

Got a few finishes in so far this week. They are small but still makes me happy to finish :)
This one is from Cathryn of Blueladie Designs. I have stitched a few of her things. Love them all. This one was super quick to stitch and so very pretty.

This biscornu freebie can be found here

This little Snow Buddy was designed by Carla Rizzie of One Crazy Stitcher Designs.

Finishes and Exchanges

This is going to be quick, I'm too tired to think....

San-Man Originals has a Halloween SAL on the forum. Here is the first part of mine. Haven't see the other parts but I am assuming one is a pumpkin and one a tombstone. New parts come out on Sunday.

Made a biscornu for a fall exchange. I bought the pattern from the floss box for .90. Can't beat that. Here is the back.

And here is the front :)
This last little bit is some goodies I received in an exchange. I was def. spoiled. Cory grabbed a few things right away. He is loving the pumpkin headband, lol.

Thanks Georgena :) You have spoiled me my friend!!

Finish

Got two things done today, boy am I on a roll, lol. This first one is for a RR in Krafters Korner. I cheated and stitched the second tree. This one is really cute. Love wintery things.

Halloween is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to stitch. Happy Jack Day is offered in the San-Man Originals September newsletter. This was a quick stitch, maybe 3 hours.

Owl Sal

Got Spider Banner by AAN a few days ago and it called for grey fabric. Went to Hobby Lobby bought some antique white 28 ct (because they didn't have white big enough and came home and started dying it. All ready to start the banner now. It is so awesome!!

Finished September of the Owl SAL. As usual so darn adorable!!

Below is a close up of September....

And lastly the best picture of them all. Cory came home from school the other day all tuckered out. Love the position he went to sleep :)

Happy Halloween

This was offered as a SAL last year in Helga Mandls yahoo group last year. I didn't get it finished in time for Halloween so I put it off to the side. In an effort to get some starts finished I pulled this one out and finished the last pumpkin and the word Halloween. I think they are adorable :) This chart is for sale on Helga's website.

A Finish and an Exchange

Finished this cute pumpkin up today. It was a fun and fast stitch. My cubes could use alot more work, lol. This one is called Halloween Visitor by Blueladie Designs.

If you would like to see more of this designer please follow this link... http://sites.google.com/site/blueladie/

I recieved this beautiful coaster today from Grandma Dee. For this exchange we were supposed to make a coaster of any type. It could be stitched, painted, knitted whatever the giver wanted. I love this one. Tennessee is one of my favorite states too :)

Cat Teapot Finished

Participating in my first ever RR and I am so excited. There are the different teapots in this series so I am having each of my gals stitch them up. They are the cutest ever :) Here it is before backstitching...

And here it is after :)

Can't wait to see the others finished.

***EDIT*** I forgot to add in the original post that this was located in the August issue of the Cross Country Stitching magazine. If you love Jeremiah Junction this magazine is a must!

Latest Finishes

This cute little snowman has been sitting unfinished for months. Got it out and finally finished it. Not sure what type of ornament I am going to make this into but I love him and am soo happy he is finally done.

This is by SMO. Isn't lime so cute. I just wanna eat him :)

Here Lime is under Orange. Not sure how many there will be but if I don't like them all together they will be perfect for magnets.

Friday Finish

First here's a little pic of my boy. He made the hat and apron in VBS this week. He's been wearing them all week saying he is a baker :)

If you are a member of the SMO forum theres fun stuff going on now.
Today Sandy posted the chart below. The first to stitch it gets a prize. Guess who that was, lol. It took me 2 1/2 hours to stitch it. I got distracted by the phone once but I was on a mission. I am a slow stitcher and wanted to get it done in a hurry. Going to wait to see if there is another before I decide how I want to finish it. Right now it is looking to be made into a magnet. I love this :)

Some Friday Finishes-New and Old

It has been a while since I've posted on here. It's sad that I don't have much to add. When I was uploading my pics from my camera it was very obvious my 5 year old had been playing with the camera. Here is a closeup he got of Bugsy. I love this pic. It reminds me of a greeting card.

In my krafterskorner group one of the exchanges was to dye a piece of fabric and send it to your partner along with some floss. Here is the one I dyed for my partner Vicky. I love the way it turned out and think it looked way better in person. I'll post pics of the one I got from my partner in a few days. Cory is borrowing my batteries for the Wii.

Here is the latest on my Owls from Oakhaven Design.

and here is Mays.

And my last updates for the day is this one. I don't think I've posted pics of it yet. If I have please disreguard. This is a SAL from Novalee. I am working on Summer now.
