Friday Finish

Had a great Easter and hope you all did too. Took a family picture so I wanted to share with you.

Starting on the left in the green shirt is my nephew Austin, my dad, nephew Zane, mom, Cory, Dustin and I, and standing up is my brother Ryan and his gf Rose.

Took a class in a group and am learning new dying techniques. These are using acrylic paint. Its fun and easy and a great way to use different colors and get different effects. I didn't have much time but plan on using this technique again.

This one and the one below are using the same pattern. I did the top one first then took the one below and put it on top. I like the bottom one better.

Wasn't real sure if I liked this purple one. When I was doing it it started to storm and the room got dark. Looked great in the dark but splotchy in the light.

Here is what it looks like with something stitched on it. I think it turned out really nice. I found this chart on a blog. The chart is designed by Barbara Ana. This is the blog I found it on...

In case you are wondering, I didn't get it finished in time for Easter, lol. I'm always a few days late.

  2. Hey I finally get to see what you look like. Wonderful family picture. I also love the fabric and the stitching you did on it great work Tara.
I wish I could have taken that class but I don't have the money to spend on it unfortunately. I love the way it turns out and I don't think the purple is splotchy that much at all.
