Lookie
Lookie who I found on the bird feeder today :) This is a red-bellied woodpecker. I've seen it a few times but he left before I had a chance to grab the camera. He stayed for a while today to fill up his tummy before the storm.

January 30,2011
I've gotten a little bit done this week. The month is over and I'm no where near my goals but still think I got alot done.
This is Grande Marquoir. I wanted to get 5 sections done this month but I think this is all I'll get done. I am doing it over one and my eyes yell at me after a few stitches and let me just say it is reallly hard to frog over one and then I have red fuzz every where. I was about to give up last night and get a bigger piece of fabric and start from scratch, but I'm going to stick with it. I think it looks nice over one.

WIPS and Oak Haven 2010 Finish
I've come to the fast realization that I won't be making my January goals and I've added some things to it, lol. First I know I won't get 1 1/2 pages of Halloween House done. Doesn't mean I won't try, just gonna plug along and do what I can. Here's what I've gotten done last week. Not much but better than nothing right?
Seba Designs SAL. This is something new that I've added to my list :)
Halloween House
Making my first ever 15-sided Biscornu. I haven't done much but here's what I'm doing for at least 5 of the squares. I'm taking a class for this one through Frosty Design Stitchers.
I also have one other finish. It's the first part of the SMO SAL. I forgot to take a picture but that's ok cause we aren't supposed to start it until the 15th anyway. That ones going to be so pretty!

Goose Egg, January Goals, WIPs and A Finish
Corys teacher called me yesterday from school to tell me Cory bumped his head and he had the biggest bump she had ever seen. She said he was fine, no crying and was playing good so it was my call to pick him up. I was thinking she was over reacting and it was just a small lump. She took this picture on her phone after it happened at 11:45. Have you ever seen such a thing in your life?!?! I felt like such a bad mom for not getting him sooner. I did take him into the doctor but by then the swelling had gone down some but was over his eyelid. I'm still like WOW.... Cory says he was running and didn't see the monkey bars. Think I should get his eyes checked again? LOL
This is what it looked like last night around 9. Today its pretty much gone. The only sign it was there is a scrape and some bruising.

I was inspired by my friend Mary to make January goals so here they are....
-2 Ornaments (finished one and one to go)
-Finish 2010 OakHaven SAL
-5 blocks Grande Marquoir
-Finish A Time for Christmas Cookies
-San-Man Sal (starts on the 15th and will work on Saturdays)
-5 sections of Northern Nights
-1 1/2 pages of Halloween House
Here's where I'm at on them. All of the pictures are WIP that I started before 2011 except the Northern Nights and the Finished Reindeer Ornament.

This is Northern Nights. I'm going with black aida :) I just love black.
Grande Marquoir. I think I am using 28 ct but I'm doing it over 1. Way too much for a girl with bad eyes....
Gingerbread Smile
And lastly is this one Christmas Cookies. It was a freebie on San-Mans board.
This is going to be a fun month and if I get everything done like I want I'll have at least 3 finishes, two of which will be ornaments and I'd like to make A Time for Christmas Cookies into a cube. I'll be working on Gingerbread Smile some but it isn't one of my goals for this month. It's something small I take with me when I'm running errands so there isn't a lot to carry around.
